2026 Club Competitions

Last year’s competitions were successfuly in encouraging more members to bring and display their work so we hope to build on that and get even more members participating this year. There will be four competitions in March, June, September and December and the theme for the March competition is easter.

We have also made a couple of small changes to the rules (not that there are many!). Here are all the rules:

  1. Any member or visitor to the club can enter.
  2. Every entrant will receive one point for each competition they enter. Multiple entries are allowed but only one point will be awarded for entering
  3. Entrants can enter either the beginners class or the experts class but once they have entered one competition, they can’t change groups unless asked to do so by the committee.
  4. Points are awarded for first, second and third place (3, 2 and 1 point respectively).
  5. Points are totted up at the end of the year to determine the overal first, second and third places for each group.
  6. If the committee decide someone is in the wrong group, they will be asked to switch groups but generally, it is left to the individual to decide which group they think they should be in.
  7. If there are any issues or disagreements, the committee will decide on the outcome. The committee’s decision is final.

Good luck with producing your easter related turning for the competition at the March meeting.
